Sachin Tendulkar created the winner of the LG ICC Awards onOctober 6, 2010 in Bangalore after receiving two awards simultaneously. He packed the Sir Garfield Sobers Cricketer of the Year award and LG People's Choice Award. Tendulkar became the second Indian to receive the award after Rahul Dravid won it in 2004. Virender Sehwag with 1, 282 runs to hisname in Test cricket was declared 'Test Cricketer oh the Year,while Mahendra Singh Dhoni was named the captain of a WorldTest XI.ABde Villiers of South Africa was declared the ODI Playerof the Year. While Shelly Nitschke was the wife of Australia Cricketer of the Year Award Steve Finn England was named theEmerging Player of the Year.
